Franklin Park Zoo Tour

We were lucky enough to be invited to join a behind the scenes tour of the Franklin Park Zoo.  We got there a little late but still got to participate in some fun events.

We got to visit inside Snickers the tree kangaroo's house.

Eli got to feed the ant eater.
His tongue went all the way down that tube!

Sammy's got no fear!

We got to go on the playground this time!

So much fun!  The boys (all 4) did not like it if the birds actually landed on them.
They freaked out and screamed!

Cape Trip 2013 Last Day

We did a lot of packing the night prior while the boys were asleep so the morning wasn't so bad this year.
We took our annual "last day" photo on the front porch of the Cape house.

The weather was still a bit iffy so we went to the Pancake Man and headed back over the bridge to the mainland.  Until next year Cape Cod...I'll be dreaming of you!

Cape Trip 2013 Day 7

Because the forecast said we were in for super duper rainstorms, we headed for the bowling alley!

After bowling, we went to see Monsters University.  It was the first time the littles had been to a "real" theater.  They were up and about a bit, but seemed to enjoy themselves.  The theater was packed because everybody else had the same idea as us!

Then home for lunch, naps, etc and off to Hyannis.

We went to my favorite restaurant, Spanky's Clam Shack for their yummy lobster ravioli.
As you can see, it was still a bit gloomy so we ate inside for a change.
We still got a chance to walk around and see the ships and the hydrangeas.

Then we explored a bit and went out to a beach in Hyannis.
It was super windy!  Their were kite surfers that were
having a blast.

Then off to Krista K's for ice cream!

Cape Trip 2013 Day 6

It's a good thing we went to the beach so many times at the start of the week, because the weather turned and we got to do all of our other Cape activities.

First up we headed to a fun playground in Chatham.

Then we did some shopping and found this exhibit called
"Sharks in the Park".

There were so many fun sharks.  This was Eli's favorite.

This was my favorite.
Chatham is known for sharks because it is where Jaws was filmed (or takes place or something) or because they have lots of sharks or something.

Then we had a picnic on the beach.
(We had to get some beach time in and the weather cleared up a bit)
