Easter 2013

Easter is a crazy busy jam packed day for us.

First thing, we're up at 5:30 to do baskets and breakfast.

Then we're off to the 7 o'clock mass.

Then, we're off to brunch with the big furry guy at 10 o'clock.

Then, home for a nap, and then the egg hunt!!!

Phew!!!

We found this new egg-dying technique online. It's shaving cream mixed with food coloring. It's supposed to create a marble effect on the eggs. I tried it out figuring it would be more hands-on for the boys. Well, they definitely got their hands dirty!!!

The effect was pretty, but it was supposed to sit in the mixture longer.

We reverted to plan B.

While we were waiting for the dye to set, we had to do "bunny ear" pictures!

(Sketchy) Park Time

We have been venturing out to some new parks. We stopped at this one because it's right next door to my favorite coffee/donut shop. We stopped in and got some donuts so we needed to work off all those extra calories!

It was fun for the boys, but I was cringing the whole time. It's definitely a "city" park. Lots of garbage, lots of vandalism, not well taken care of...

So...we don't have to go back...but we will be having more donuts!!!
