Potty Party

We know it's inevitable that we'll have to potty train the little monkeys.  We're just dreading it!  Eli was super easy to potty train and was trained at 27 months.  Well, the trio is 28 months and we're not even close!  Their pedi told me not to worry about it, but they're enrolled for preschool in the fall and they need to be trained.  Looks like we need to get moving!
As with everything, having triplets means doing things a bit differently.  We've had potties in the bathroom for a while.  Everybody's tried them out, everybody's had success, nobody's consistent.  I'm keeping a "laid back" approach and I'm just trying to keep it fun. 
We figure we'll kick everything into high gear over the summer. That way they can run around naked and I'll be home full time.  From what I've heard/read, it's a mutli-day event that involves mutliple adults for help and support.  After our first Potty Party, I believe it!

On a whim, we decided to put underpants on the boys and roll up the rug.  We knew it was only 30 minutes until bedtime so we thought it would be a nice short time to give them a chance.

We started off with these underpants,  but they're a bit too big.

 

They did have fun "exporing" things.

 

We rounded up some of Eli's old underpants that fit a bit better.

At the end of the 1/2 hour, Ben went 3 times on the potty! 

Nate & Sam made little puddles on the floor.

No worries!

We'll have many more potty parties!
